Waste Management plans to deploy a DriveCam video driver safety program throughout its fleet of collection vehicles for at least a 5-year term, according to a press release.

DriveCam fleet management technology combines in-cab video and data with driver feedback and coaching, the release indicates. Software tracks the results of driving behaviors and identifies areas where safety and fuel efficiency can be improved.

Waste Management tested the technology in a 6-month pilot program in two of its market areas before deciding to expand the program, according to the release.
